Firdaus, a Malaysian, age 49, is the Head of Shariah at MIDF Group since 2016. He plays an important role is transforming MIDF as Shariah compliant entity. From Nov 2012 to 2015, he was a Specialist of Islamic Finance in Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA), an agency of Bank Negara Malaysia, providing accreditation leadership for Islamic Finance Learning Programme in Banking, Islamic Financial Planning and Islamic Finance Certification programme. From June 2010 to Nov 2012, he was the General Manager at Asian Institute of Finance, a subsidiary of Bank Negara, responsible for human capital development in financial industry.
He also involved in many other corporate companies such as RAM Ratings Services Sdn. Bhd, (Head of Islamic Ratings, 1 June 2008 – August 2009), INCEIF (Head of CIFP Programme and Industry Expert, 5th May 2007 to 30 May 2008), Emirates Bank, UAE (Business Training Manager, 15th April 2005 and 5th May 2007), MIDF (Head of Islamic Finance, 1st August 2003 to April 2005), Ambank (Marketing Manager, Branch Manager and Assistant Manager, July 2003 – Apr 1997). He started his banking career at Maybank Corporate Banking in 1994 (to Apr 1997). He has an MBA, 2004 and a BBA Degree, 1994 from UIAM and the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CTP), 2013.
